Meriden Mall in Meriden, CT

About Meriden Mall

Meriden Mall offers a variety of shopping options, including clothing stores, department stores, and shoe stores. It’s a place where you can find a mix of retail experiences, alongside dining options for when you want to take a break from shopping.

The atmosphere here can feel a bit quiet, especially as some stores have closed down, leaving the space less crowded. Visitors often mention a unique, almost eerie vibe due to the mall's emptiness, but it can also make for a relaxed shopping experience without the usual hustle.

Located in Meriden, CT, the mall is easily accessible and provides a convenient spot for local shoppers. There’s ample parking available, but it’s helpful to know exactly where you’re going since the mall can feel a bit sparse.

Editor's Review

Meriden Mall, a family-owned establishment since 1992, evokes nostalgia for many but also raises eyebrows in its current state. As you step inside, the bright lights and wide hallways might remind you of happier times, yet the echoing silence and sparse foot traffic can feel unsettling. Some reviewers, like Holly, lament, 'I would have liked to have seen this mall in its prime.' It's clear that the mall has seen better days, but it still holds a certain charm for those willing to explore its quieter corners.

Some visitors find joy in the unique experience of a near-ghost town. As Joel Joyner noted, 'if you come here to exercise and walk, I guess it's a good fit.' The Adventure Palace, a standout attraction, offers a fun all-day pass, allowing families to bounce back and forth between play and snack breaks. As Andres Vasquez put it, 'Cool obstacles and I even played a lil chase with the kiddos.' It’s these moments that keep the spirit of the mall alive, despite the dwindling number of open stores.

Best for: This mall is best for families looking for a quiet place to spend a day together.

A mall is a mall, but I give them two stars because they're basically closing, they don't have any stores. So if you come here, you need to know where you're going, and that's the place is actually in here. But if you come here to exercise and walk I...

Everything is gone, and it's very sad to see. I'd mark this as a historic spot rather than a mall. I would have liked to have seen this mall in its prime. I hope it can bounce back, but I'm not sure any have come back from this far gone.
