Google Street ViewAbout The Loot Company
The Loot Company offers a unique shopping experience where customers can find a variety of products from liquidation sales, including Amazon returns and other discounted items. With an assortment of merchandise packed in bins, shoppers can uncover hidden treasures and great deals, although the organization can vary significantly from visit to visit.
The atmosphere in the store is bustling and somewhat chaotic, with items often scattered around and a sense of urgency as shoppers dig through bins to find valuable products. Some customers have noted the less organized state of the store, which can make the shopping experience feel overwhelming at times.
Located in Pittsfield, ME, The Loot Company is easily accessible for local residents and visitors alike. The store's convenient hours from Monday to Wednesday make it a viable option for those looking to shop during the week.
Editor's Review
The Loot Company in Pittsfield, ME, garners a mixed bag of customer reactions, reflected in its overall rating of 3.3 out of 5 based on 14 reviews. A noticeable theme emerges: while shoppers appreciate the hunt for bargains, many express frustration with the store's organization and cleanliness. For example, Tanya Mcgillis remarks, 'Everything in boxes you don't know what's in them unless you open the boxes,' pointing to a significant issue with accessibility and presentation. Another reviewer, Livy, shares a similar sentiment, stating, 'The reselling, the clothes all over the floor, the rude employees, the constant broken items' create a disappointing shopping experience.
Interestingly, not all reviews are negative. One visitor, P/N Collette, noted, 'It was exciting shopping looking for deals' during a visit when everything was priced at just $1. This illustrates how The Loot Company can be enjoyable when the right deals are available. However, the excitement seems to be undermined by issues like dilapidated inventory; as Maine Life put it, the store looked 'like the leftovers of a sad yard sale.' Overall, while the thrill of discount shopping can attract customers, the recurring complaints about cleanliness and organization may deter some from returning.
