Editor's Review

The Goodwill Outlet in Salem, Oregon, presents a unique shopping experience that's both exhilarating and a bit chaotic. Customers often walk away with incredible deals, as highlighted by Justin Scott's experience where he snagged a dog gate worth $50 for just $3. This kind of savings seems to draw in a crowd, creating an environment filled with energy and anticipation. However, the atmosphere can also be overwhelming; shoppers like Tony H. have noted that the outlet feels smaller and more crowded than other locations, and some encounter pushy behaviors near the bins.

What sets this Goodwill Outlet apart is its dedication to affordability, with many items sold by weight. Keith Eastcott captures this sentiment well, stating that the experience here is unlike any other thrifting adventure. While many patrons rave about finding electronics and glassware, Mike Nolley cautions that one must be prepared for a bit of a treasure hunt. The thrill lies in sifting through bins that can be disorganized, which some might find challenging, as mentioned by Tish Murphy, who pointed out the difficulties posed by crowded cart areas and the people who linger near the bins.

Best for: Bargain hunters and thrifting enthusiasts looking for unique finds at low prices.

I went to the Goodwill Outlet in Salem, and it's smaller than my usual one. But the people here are pretty pushy. It does look a lot cleaner though, and there's less stuff. I didn't really buy anything.

It use to be a good place to go, now you have to fight all the carts that people leave by the bins or people just standing in front of the bins waiting for new ones to come out, they use to yell at people for leaving the carts.
